Petrochemical torch, ground torch high temperature heat insulation solution
Petrochemical torch is an important combustion equipment in petrochemical plants, its diameter is usually about 8000mm, tower height between 28-30m. The main use is to treat unstable, toxic or flammable gases produced in the production process, which typically operate at temperatures above 1000 ° C (1832 ° F).
According to the height of the burner from the ground, the torch can be divided into two categories: ground torch and elevated torch. In the ground torch refractory construction methods, there are two different classifications:
- Vertical torch ceramic fiber installation: This method requires scaffolding to install ceramic fiber modules, so the construction is relatively difficult.
- Flat torch ceramic fiber installation: In this way, the ceramic fiber module is first installed, and then the torch cylinder body is suspended and installed, making the construction more convenient.
The design and construction of these torch systems need to take into account the safe and stable operation of high temperature environments, and the choice of construction methods will also affect the difficulty and efficiency of the entire project.
The requirements of torch insulation technology mainly include the following points:
1. The total thickness of the insulation layer is about 200mm. Due to the process requirements of high temperature expansion, the insulation layer should not be damaged under high temperature conditions. Therefore, the thermal insulation materials used in the torch need to have good thermal insulation properties, tensile strength, and have low thermal conductivity.
In the selection of torch insulation materials, the following schemes are adopted:
- The total thickness of the insulation layer is about 200mm. Due to the process requirements of high temperature expansion, the insulation layer should not be damaged under high temperature conditions. Therefore, the thermal insulation materials used in the torch need to have good thermal insulation properties, tensile strength, and have low thermal conductivity.
- FUTURE ceramic fiber blanket: Select two layers of 1260 XTX-212 ceramic fiber blanket with a thickness of 20mm and a density of 128kg/m3, compressed to 30mm thickness, as a tiled blanket.
- FUTURE YXTX-289 ceramic fiber module: Select 300mm*300mm*180mm and 300mm*300mm*150mm YXTX-289 ceramic fiber module. The pre-welded bolts and ceramic fiber modules are fixed using special installation tools in a side-by-side installation method.
- Anti-erosion high temperature curing agent: Due to the large water vapor inside the ground torch, the surface of the ceramic fiber module is sprayed twice with curing agent to harden the surface of the fiber module and improve the ability to resist water vapor and smoke erosion.
These technical requirements and material selection options are designed to ensure that the torch insulation system has excellent insulation performance, durability and stability to meet the needs of high temperatures and special process conditions.
